I originally had exactly the same background colour as Iria  :o.  Anyway, I've changed it for variety.

PS Not sure if the illustrations in the book would have been in colour or not, based on the age of the photo.  If anyone knows the answer, can they let me know.  Thank you kindly!  :)

Caroline, if the illustrations were in colour they might have been lithographs. This printing process was popular then. Many old postcards and pre-war scraps were printed using this process. Lithographs can be pricey too and are often quite beautiful. The printing process was invented by a German in 1796 and is still used today.

Doesn't the little gorl on the right look very determined? I don't know whether she was when she grew up - will let you know if I find out.
