Alfred and Thomas Williams born Mountain Ash
« on: Monday 12 November 12 16:30 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I'm looking for Alfred & Thomas Williams, sons of James and Susannah Williams, they were born in Mountain Ash, 1883-1884.

In one census they look like twins, in another they look to have been born a year apart.

I cannot find a registration for both brothers born in the same quarter.

Does anyone have experience of tracing twins, especially with a common name like Williams?

Avril

the registration districtt for Mountain Ash at that time was Pontypridd. There is only one likely birth reg

Alfred Williams dec qtr 1883 Pontypridd vol 11a pg 362

There is no Thomas Williams on the same page, so unlikely to be twins. Also, 1901 census has Alfred enumerated as grandson. RG13/5005 folio 141 pg 6.
