To confirm this info I have given you need the marriage cert of Henry and Annie, although if he was illegitimate then there shouldn't be a father's name on the marriage cert. Then again some brides and grooms give fictitious father's names. :)
Marriages Dec 1/4 1893
Annie Cook   and Henry Wood Leominster 6a/1079

Could this be Elizabeth Wood's marriage (mother of Henry and Alice)
Marriages Mar 1871
James Hault
Elizabeth Wood
registration district Ross vol 6a page 655

But the only James H*lt with a wife Elizabeth I can see in 1881 has her born Gloucestershire.

She may have died but there are too many death registrations to be sure if hers is one of them.

Possible deth registrations
Death reg
Henry Wood
age 84 born abt 1867

Death
Annie Wood age 83 born about 1865

There are two trees on ancestry for this Henry and wife Annie and both show his mother as Elizabeth dau of Thomas and Ann and no father.

Thanks for your help with all this information.
Albert was my grand-father and Henry my great-grand father.
I also have never found a father for Henry so he could have been illigitimate or worse. He did die in 1951 , living then at Yarpole.
I am very new to tracing my tree and haven't actually got out to do any legwork yet.
Thanks again
