Returning to the TONKS/ANDREWS marriage and their children.  News items, and there are a number, mention that Clyde TONKS and his four children were boarding with the CLARK family and the CLARK's separated with Emma May CLARK staying in the family home.  It was alleged that Clyde TONKS left the CLARK home and returned later at Emma's request.  There were on the electoral rolls together from 1949.  Perhaps they married after the divorce in 1931. It would appear that Emma had a child in 1930 but stated in court that her husband wasn't the father.

TONKS Clyde William  65 years  Buried 21 Feb 1955.  Last residence Moonah.
TONKS Emma May  76 years Buried 19 Nov 1980.  Last residence Chigwell.

Oh dear it get's worse....mentioned during the hearing that Clyde TONKS was a widower with four children.  So Alice Amelia was meant to be deceased in 1931 but surely this is her death registration.
