Margaret Elizabeth Morse & Richard Gurden
« on: Monday 30 May 05 23:01 BST (UK) »
I need some help to find a marriage of Margaret Elizabeth Morse to Richard Gurden in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire.

They are on the 1851 census at Abergavenny as a Married couple with Margaret's Mother who is also a Margaret Morse.

Margaret Elizabeth (daughter) was born 1830 in Abergavenny and I would welcome a baptism, and I really would like to find a marriage of her Mother Margaret as I would like to know her maiden name and who she married.

Margaret Elizabeth is widow by 1861 but I cannot find a death of Richard.

In 1861 Margaret Morse an innkeeper has her sister  Rachel Price also a widow age  49  born Monmouth Abergavenny living with her, I would be very interested to know who Rachel married and what her maiden name was, it should be the same as Margaret Morse (senior)

I do hope some one can help me as I have hit a brickwall.

Regards

Hello Sue,

On freeBMD there is a marriage of

Margaret Elizabeth MORSE
Crickhowell 26 401
~March 1851

I thought this may be a possiblity as Crickhowell is not that far from Abergavenny and also, this marriage reference is missing a groom's name as there is one in the group which has obviously been mistranscribed.
