Jane Delorest Wheelock
« on: Thursday 15 November 12 18:39 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help with the Aunt of James Noble (1771 - 1851) who is mentioned in his will.  Her name is Jane Delorest Wheelock who died in Ireland in 1811 and made her nephew James a trustee but her will does not metion her husband and thus I cannot find a marriage and link the family relationship with James her nephew.  I assume her husband died before she did.  Any help very much appreciated.

There are several references in an Irish newspaper in the 1840-60 period referring to naval promotions for a Jeffrey / Geoffrey Wheelock Noble, there might be something to track backwards for him.

Now I have a copy of her will it appears the Irish reference to her death is incorrect.  The will referred to an address in Devon.  Sorry for the confusion but thanks for the referenced to Jeffry Wheelock Noble who was the son of James Noble

Hi garstonite
Looks as if I have opened a can of worms, my original idea was to try and find Jane maiden name
Your reponse caused me to review the tree of John Grey Wheelock b1405 down to Alice F Swift b 1512 wife of Sir R Hurst b1515.
Using familysearch geni website and other websites there is a lot of confusion about wife of Richard Deol Wheelock-Redenbaugh
It appears that father Richard  married twice once to a Jean ? possibly Swift and once to a Margaret Redenbaugh
However the more I check dates, names etc the more it gets confusing, I think one of the Richards married a Redenbaugh and added the name to a son ??
Need more research here Will print out all the info I can find and try and get to the correct people
If you could throw any light on this family great
RichardWheelock b1456 is my wifes 10th great grandfather
