relatives of rebecca moore
« on: Monday 19 November 12 16:13 GMT (UK) »
i am looking to find out any information i can about my fathers side of the family
if anybody knows of or knows someone who can help i would love to hear from them.

my grandmother rebecca moore (nee white) lived in donaghadee at 3 east street died in about 1969, she was brought up in carrowdore, where her father was a tailor Daniel White.

my auntie rebecca Mcnarry (or possibly mcnerry) lived at 5 east street donaghadee she was married to terence mcnarry (mcnerry) and i am led to believe he committed suicide in the mid 1960s! rebecca or ruby as i knew her was a well known bowls player in donaghadee.

my auntie anne moore never married and died in around 2001/2, golf player and i believe worked in the council offices

my uncle william moore lived on main street carrowdore till he died in 2010 i believe it was he was a bus driver for a long time and a well known gardener.

i would be very interested to hear from anybody who could provide me with any information about my relatives all departed now.

They appear on 1911 census with 2 children Daniel 5, Martha 3.

There is a Baptism for a George White b. 22nd Nov 1859 Presbyterian Raffrey, Down.  Father William White, Mother Margaret Ann Hay.
Thought this could be a brother maybe to Daniel White b. c 1855 :)

Daniel White married Annie Nesbitt in Conlig Presbyterian Church in 1875.  His father William White was also a tailor by trade.  Annie's maiden surname was McCoy, she married Daniel as a widow, her father was William McCoy, a gardener.

Added: Daughter Rebecca went on to marry William James Moore in Ballyblack Presbyterian Church in 1913.

Hi,
Joseph Allen Nesbitt married Anna McCoy in Lambeg Church of Ireland, Lisburn District in Oct1872. It seems that Joseph died in Belfast in 1873, Vol 16 Page 170.

Hi Philip

My Granfather was William Moore. His sisters Ruby and Anne. I think your father would've been Ernie?
