Looking for the Henry J Scoates born1913 marriage all i have is the surname Ashby mrd 1936 cant find her christian name or if they had children.

There don't seem to be any children (who may still be living so details should not be posted) with a mother's maiden name of Asby in the civil registration index for England and Wales but that presumes this was Lilian's first marriage and Ashby was her maiden name.
