Crooks, Hardstaff and Berry families in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
« on: Friday 23 November 12 01:39 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,

Interested in finding  about the three  names above.  Crooks are from  Mansfield woodhouse  area  originally,  Hardstaff from Mansfield itself and Berry family moved from Staffordshire to work in the pits around 1907.  There may be some connection to Australia from  phoebe crooks .  They  were all born in the 1800, s .   :) :)

Thank you anyway .  Well, he may be Joseph Crooks  and  think they  stayed in crooks yard ,  Mansfield woodhouse in the 18th century.  The Hardstaff  family were Mansfield town based.
Great grandad was John ,  who according to rumour fell down a hole in the road  and died.  He left a large family behind though.  My grandad Jim ,  brothers Dick,  Frank, Lucy,  nellie, and Polly who was born in 1898.  :)

I found out I have Crooks family in Mansfield Woodhouse. My grandad was Harry Crooks born 1885, died 1975, my dad was illegitimate.
They were a large family. My great grandad was Robert Crooks.
Any relationship to your Crooks family?

Hi again, if Joseph crooks was son of William crooks then we're related!
If you're on ancestry or my heritage I am there.
Otherwise contact me here

All the best,
Nicki
