Harry/Henry Pilkington Wilson

Hi,

The other descendent I mentioned obtained a copy of the Marriage Certificate and she told me that it mentioned Liverpool as his place of birth.  It is interesting that it wasn't until the last quarter of 1881 that place of birth was recorded.  The other descendent has always wondered if his birth in Liverpool was in fact correct.

He either divorced or separated from his wife and ended up dying in the Hawke's Bay in a house fire in 1916. 

I have not sourced his death certificate, as it is unlikely to contain much information, as I have been told that as he aged he became more reclusive and who ever would have filled out the certificate would not likely to be privy to his birth date or parents names.

Re:  The newspaper report - August 1886 - Emily Mary and Harry WILSON ... they seem to have reconciled after this date as there are births of another three children to this couple ?

It may still be worthwhile obtaining the printout of Harry (Henry) Pilkington WILSON's death ?  
After all, somebody knew him well enough to inform authorities of his second name.

There are later Pilkington Wilson's in Lancashire..maybe they are related and that would be worth following..is it your tree at ancestry..try asking a few of the other researchers..whether they have found the common thread tot he middle name..eg a mother or grandmothers surname

There is a birth registration for a Henry Pilkington Wilson for the June quarter of 1893 in West Derby. (This registration district became part of Liverpool North in 1934).

Maybe this man is a relative from a later generation?
