Hi

I am trying to find out about my great grandfather John William Taylor, he lived on thorne road, Stainforth, Yorkshire. He died in 1933 in his 40's and I would like to find out where he was buried all I know is that it was the church of England.
Not sure when he was born and I think it was in Wiltshire and run around with my great grandmother Harriet Kate Doswell around 1921/22 to live in Thorne Road.

I would love to find out more about my great grandfather.

As there is no marriage on freebmd between Doswell/Taylor - is it correct that they never married?

I should have said Harriet Kate Taylor was Doswell and born 1891 in Andover and died in November 1971 in Stainforth, 14 East Lane.  I have managed to trace the Doswells.

The Kate Doswell who married William Gilbert is a different person.

I don't know where Harriet Kate Doswell was after 1912 untill she was in thorne road stainforth with my Great grandfather around 1922.
In 1911 Harriet Kate was a maid in andover have seen the cenus.

The only after information is that she became maid in a big house in Wiltshire and started to see the son and she became pregnant his family was not happy. The two of them moved to Thorne Road Stainforth and the pair of them took on another surname as his family did not want them to marry or anyone to know. Did not get marry just both took on the surname Taylor.
My grandma was the second born in 1924 she told me that the family had a maid and cook and his family send money to him but it all stopped when he died. Before he died ( he was ill) he burnt all the letters from his family and personal things. My nan told me that he had the full works for funeral and after it my great grandmother and children to to move out the house into 14 east lane or it would have been to work house. My Nans brother and one of her sisters is still alive and live in stainforth but won't give any information.

Do you know which cemetery would have been used for a burial in 1933 trying to find John William Taylor grave.
