Can't help with a date - but what a lovely photo !    ;)

- I wonder if there is some record of roofing repair - I would guess that thatching needed repairing very very soon after this was taken.    ::) ;)  Might give you some idea of the date.

Yes they had.  I do not know when.

They built a new bridge over the river in 1927 .

The foot bridge shown in the photo went then.

I am curious to know when it was a Blacksmiths.

I am sure I remember a standing stone where the thatched extension was and round  here that denotes the sign of a Blacksmith.

The current owner has "improved" the cottage by getting rid of at the other end of the house a stone shed(which may have been the Blacksmiths).

I have another photo from the side looking acoss the bridge towards the Inn, will attach that and we can look and see if the unthatched extension was there then.  I think that pic which shows my grandma the tall lady on the right would have been taken in the early 20s or even earlier.
