Wife, Selina, born c 1817, Collingwood
Daughter Ann Maria (born c1843 Sutton on Trent)
Sons Henry (born c1846 Sutton on Trent), John (born c1848 Sutton on Trent), George (born c1849 Sutton on Trent)

There is a possibility of the surname being Godstone.

head of household not listed but here are Selina and the children. Quite a few Godsons in 1851 Sutton upon Trent - let me know if you'd like the others.

Thanks, this has helped. I have the 1841 index and now can confirm that Selina is on it in Sutton with her 10mth old son Thomas.

However, interestingly, John is not in the household on this census either.

The only John Godson that could match, based on age, was living in Calverton. It is an outside chance but if you have access to 1851 Calverton, I would be grateful if you can have a look for me. I realise that 10 years has passed and its unlikely that he was living in the same town, or even if it is the same John Godson. I know he was an agricultural labourer in 1861 but that probably covers half the Nottinghamshire population.
