So, if this is correct, then Robert wasn't born in Plas Bennion.

My Ruabon ancestors were mostly from Bodylltyn  :)

Plas Bennion was not mentioned by A.N.Palmer in his History of Ruabon until 1698.He mentions that the estate there was then in the hands of the Lloyd family.

Another source though mentions by repute that the estate and associated house of that name were named after someone called Ap Beynon in the fourteenth century.
