walkers court, porter street, liverpool abt 1850

Interesting discussion thread.  I also have ancestry in a court in Porter Street.   Not Walker Court though.   My assumption was there were a number of courts.  All the old (mid 1800's) photos though show high warehouses.  If anyone can shed any light, it would be appreciated.

For more about the warehouses that were on one side of Porter Street (and the courts on the other side) download a large copy of this Goad's insurance map from 1890 by this time the courts were known by numbers rather than by names although you will still find the original names being used at times:-
