Jane Delorest Wheelock
« on: Thursday 06 December 12 14:43 GMT (UK) »
Jane Delorest Wheelock died in 1811 in Devon.  She was married to Anthony Wheelock who was born in 1716 in London and died in 1781 whilst living at the Tower of London.  She is the aunt of Vice Admiral James Noble but I cannot find that link nor can I find her marriage to Anthony.  I have exhausted all my leads.  I would be grateful for any further help you may be able to give and I thank those who have already helped me with this research so far.

Hi Rod

I have posted the same reply on your topics to prevent duplication of effort.

It gives the chatters the chance to have a look before giving things a go. There's nothing more frustrating than spending an age on someone's look-up only to discover the info has been posted on a duplicate topic.

Dawn

It seems we have cracked it.  This is th entry which I think confirms it:
Registers of the Births, Marriages, and Deaths of the Eglise Francoise a LA Nouvelle York: French Church of New York, from 1688 to 1804
Rachel is James Noble's mother who married Isaac Noble in 1764.
It is very likely that Anthony was serving with the British Army in New York at the time of his marriage.
