There doesn't appear to be any children born in Wye to this couple

Some more information on the marriage.  It was by Licence and Thomas Taylor was of the Parish of Boughton Aluph and Elizabeth Worral was of Wye.  Both signed by mark.  The witnesses were W Bodkin and Thos Terry (PC)

There is a baptism record in the Parish of Boughton Aluph for

Thomas s/o George & Elizabeth Taylor 3 April 1757

There is another a baptism in Mersham, as follows, that might be worth considering

Elizabeth d/o Henry & Piercy Whorrell 7 November 1762.

Hope this may be of some use.

Tony :)

This is a bit speculative, but could be worth considering.  ???

There are baptisms for a William and Elizabeth Taylor in the parish of Elmsted.

Thomas 1786, John 1789, Charlotte 1791?, Edward 1794, Mary 1797, George 1802 and Henry in 1804.

Burials in Elmsted that fit reasonably with the baptisms in my earlier posting.  ???

Thomas Taylor 4 July 1844 aged 88

Elizabeth Taylor 2 April 1853 aged 89 from Elham Workhouse

All these records can be found on the Hastingleigh website.

On the 1851 census

HO107, Piece 1633, Folio 362, Page 3.

Elizabeth Taylor aged 84 is a widow born in Smeeth.

Returning to the Whorrell Family of Mersham, it appears to have moved to Smeeth between 1762 and 1765 as there are Whorwell baptisms of five children, to Henry and Piercey (or variations thereof) from 1765 to 1775.  ???

Hope you find some of this information useful.

Tony :)
