As I say, Griffiths does not list any Wade family in Congo in 1860. I searched on Charles Wade. There is only 1 listed in Co Tyrone for that same year. He was in the townland of Drumey where he had a house, offices (outbuildings) and 5 acres (plot 3). There’s no Wade family there in the 1901 census, so perhaps the family moved from Drumey to Congo between 1860 and 1886. The revaluation records would tell you when the Drumey property was given up, and when the Congo one taken on, and by whom.

Here’s a link to the 1st Presbyterian Church. However you may find it easier to look at the records at PRONI, especially as there are evidently other relevant records there too.

You can search yourself at PRONI. No fees. Just charges for any copying you choose to make. Take photo id on 1st visit to get a readers ticket.

Drumey is about half a mile north of Congo. These are small townlands with a handful of inhabitants so you are unlikely to find them on Google earth etc. You can find them on the maps on Griffiths Valuation. You can see both a contemporaneous map, and then overlay a modern map, using the slider bar in the top right hand corner of the map screen. (It takes a little getting used to).
