I'm researching my 4x great grandfather James Nicholls born 1796 in Veryan. I'm interested in learning more about the Nicholls family and James' occupation. On his children's baptism registers, James is listed as a "miller", working at Portholland Mill and Curwenna Mill.
Does anyone have any detail on these mills, and the life of a miller there?
