If it helps the daughter of Horace is Audrey may Shepherd born 16 march 1922 Epping area she died 2002 and married Lawrence Charles Shaw in 1948 he is also deceased so no problem with posting.

i think you can bypass her birth certificate and get the marriage certificate this will give you Horaces father name and hopefully you are on the right track
