Thankyou Lizzie I shall give them an email as well then. Thanks again im determined to find it for my mum. She tried looking a few times now as my aunt used to live in Basingstoke so used to go past there but never found it again.

There are churches at Rotherwick, Mattingley, Hook and Heckfield all within close proximity of Tylney Hall.

Salty - Any one of those churches (apart from Hook - although maybe even there in 1984) could be classed as "in the sticks" as Wade's mum remembers.

Hi

Show your mother a picture of St Swithun Church at Nateley Scures[ put it into Google ] It is a very small church at the end of a lane sandwiched between the A30 and M3 just south of Newnham. I was there about 5 years ago and it wasn't overgrown but was closed up and only used infrequently.

I make a suggestion that the Tylney Hall School is right in the middle between Rotherwick and Newnham which both have churches. So would suggest either one, but the school has always been associated with Rotherwick as far as I am aware.

If I was not so busy with doing family things at this time of year I would go take some pics for you.

Hello all again I am still awaiting emails back from said people  :(. Maybe I should try taking my mum there one day I think its a few hours drive so possibly do in day ?
