RANCE Wilstone & Tring
« on: Wednesday 19 December 12 17:32 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I'm researching the Rance family from the Tring area of Hertfordshire. It's only 15 minutes from where I live but unfortunately in another county. The Buckinghamshire Archives don't hold any records for Wilstone so I will make the journey to Hertford in the new year.
I'd appreciate a head start though so if anybody has information for the following I'd be grateful:

Henry Rance born circa 1817 Wilstone, Herts (Father Thomas Rance)
married Mary Wilson (b 1820 Tring) in 1840 in Tring, Herts.

Many thanks

Simon

Hi Simon

You are going back in time, not forward?

Yes, I have all the details I require (at the moment) going forward.

Any information regarding the family before 1840 would be great, thanks

do you have a copy of their marriage certificate? does it say what fathers occupation was? maybe we can find him in 1841 and then that may help you back further
