i'm also looking for info on eland family from north riding of yorkshire (brotton), my grandfather george was born there. his father also george was born in normanby not too far away.i would be very greatful for anything to backup very little info i have on them..

I dont have the info you require, but you could probably glean a lot from the 1901 cencus which is free to search till the 30 Sept

i have Elands in my tree from York - Joseph Wallace Eland b approx 1834

and his father Joseph Eland b 1801 ish in Lyth

Anyone still researching Elands from Rosedale, these are my descedents, I have as far back as Abraham Eland born 1797...
