If they were RC have you looked through Kilfinane parish records

Sorry for delay in replying ,our first great grandaughter has just arrived , so excited about her .

I have really had a good look ,gone through it several times ,but I just can`t see any mention of Patrick`s birth ,or his parents marriage . The only certainty was Limerick ,as Patrick b 1856c was in the 64th Limerick Regiment .Appreciate you taking the trouble to find the site .I know Irish records are notoriously hard to find .
Will keep hoping someone sees the post ,and realises it is their family . It is so frustrating not to get further back, but brick walls are always around the corner

Thanks again

Did you check surrounding parishes?

I would think 64th Limerick Regiment would have a fairly large catchment area.

Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
