Hello Janem,

Here is the Clyde, family from the 1851, and 1861, census indexex, for Largs, the indexes are not the full census.

1851,

Clyde Joseph, age 31y, Largs,
Clyde Mary Ann, age 35y, Largs,
Clyde William, age 10y, Largs,
Clyde David, age 9y, Largs,
Clyde John, age 7y, Largs,
Clyde Margaret, age 5y, Largs,
Clyde Diana, age 2y, Largs,
Clyde Joseph, age 1y, Largs.

1861,

Clyde Joseph, age 41y, Largs, born Ireland,
Clyde Mary Ann, age 42y, Largs, born Ireland,
Clyde William, age 20y, Largs, born Largs,
Clyde David, age 19y, Largs, born Largs,

Clyde Hugh, age 4y, Largs, born Largs,
Clyde Mary Ann, age 8m, Largs, born Largs,

No sign of the young Margaret Clyde, aged 5y, on the 1851, census. I take it you also know that Joseph's, wife's maiden name was Fitzsimons.

Regards,
Jonn.
