One entry from 1841 that might fit, although children's ages a few years out...Everyone born in the county:

Margaret Williamson 50
Richard Williamson 13
John Williamson 11
Charles Williamson 9

Address: English Street, Dumfries

By co-incidence, cupcake has a post running on English Street here www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,629568.0.html

Wow!!! Thank you Monica...! I have the marriage so the banns information is new thank you. The children i have, and i looked at the 1841 census for English Street but the ages put me off a bit but i guess they weren't always accurate and i will have another look at this info. Also i will have a look at the link by cupcake.

Why didn't i join this forum earlier! It was recommended by some one and they were right - it is full of very knowledgeable and helpful people  :)

Which of their children are you following? I could only see Richard b. 1830 on the 1851 census with an Annan birth place.

I am following Charles Williamson born on 14th and baptised on 23rd December 1825 who is my Great great grandfather and married Margaret Murray in 1862 in Liverpool. I have ordered their marriage certificate to confirm dates and names etc. I am a bit wary as Charles would have been about 37yrs old then so possibly it was their second marriage???

Yes..you just imagine that everyone was married in their early 20's but maybe they were just waiting for the 'right one'. Had a moment of panic over that census..it rung a bell but couldn't find my copy..then found it..that's the problem with using multiple sites..or more likely its my lack of organisation... :-\
