Hello Jane,
A warm welcome to Rootchat.
Are you referring to the Jarman`s that were in Whitchurch Workhouse, Shropshire in the 1901 census? If so what information are you looking for?
Kind regards,
Mo

Hi Mo
Yes I am. My Great Grandfather was Arnold Jarman and he worked as a Railway Engine Cleaner and discovered he had been in the Workhouse. I was curious to know why he was in there as a child? His Father, Samuel, was a Cabinet Maker and I wondered why he had put his children in there?
Thanks
Jane

Really odd that mother Martha and the children were in the workhouse in 1901 and yet they were back with Samuel as a family unit by 1911. I just can`t find Samuel in 1901. I will keep looking.
Mo

Do you know where Martha was in 1891? Samuel is with the children in Whitchurch.

I have traced this family line down to the children of Samuel Jarman (1851-1925) and his wife Martha Williams (1857-1947) married 24 July 1882.
My tree is Jarman Family Tree user ChristopherJarman on Ancestry.
I would be please if anyone connected with this branch could contact me at:

Kind regards,
