Unfortunately the only way you can get further info is by paying online for the birth cert...£7-00. I purchased one a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived on the mat about 4 days later.
It will/should give you Mother's maiden name and father's name and occupation as well as where the birth took place.
