"Unread" Postings

Hi mshrmh,

I think they are being reset once per day, but this could be early evening UK time,still not pinned it down yet, it seems to move earliest post to 12 or 13 hours before you log in. Still trying to get a handle on it.

Logged in now, unread postings go back to 2 hours before I last read them ...


BUT ... SHOULD TOT THREADS STILL BE NOT VIEWABLE TO GUESTS !  Think there could be a glitch there, noticed this morning that lighter side and totally off topic were both showing as sub boards under Common room while I was still a guest and I  could read the TOT 


Added ... that glitch only noticed this morning, up until now I've had to log in to read TOT

Further,  Sorry if this is already noted elsewhere, I couldn't spot a thread and didn't start a new one, thinking it'd be OK to add on here for now

Added - my unreads seem to have settled down.

logging out 20:28, 6 pages (407 posts), earliest post was still Yesterday at 16:34

Logged back in 20:55, still got 6 pages (412 topics) , earliest post was Yesterday at 16:34.

So hasn't reset this time.

I logged out and in again too, Tom and I still have the same number of unread pages as well going back to where they were at first log in of the day ... but keeping in mind it does say

"Recent Unread Topics" ...

Probably I am logging in too often to test it, but at one time we had the impression that it was up to 12 hours before the last log out.

Notice I say "up to" - I still haven't sussed out the algorithm.
