Can't find a marriage, death or anything other than a birth record and census info for Mary Lisle Atkinson, she was born 1893 in Redcar. Her parents were John Marshall Atkinson and Mary Pearson Featherstonhaugh. Any info would be much appreciated.

Here is the information I have gathered so far.
1901 Census: Mary Leslie Atkinson (should be Lisle, not Leslie), born 1893 in Redcar, living with her parents, John Marshall Atkinson and Mary Pearson Featherstonhaugh, at 62 High Street Redcar. Also living at the same address her brothers, Richard B Atkinson, George Featherstonhaugh Atkinson, and a domestic servant, Charlotte Kirby, and Mary's cousin, Percy Latham.
1911 Census: listed as Mary P Atkinson, born 1893 in Redcar, living with her parents, John Marshall Atkinson and Mary Pearson Featherstonhaugh, at 62 High Street Redcar. Also living at the same address her brother, George Featherstonhaugh Atkinson, and a domestic servant, Jane Covell.

Am curious about this name as I have a number of families named Lisle in my line.  They came from the Glasgow area in the 1700's and before.  It's an unusual name.  Any comments would be appreciated.  Thanks.  RedFox

Hi Redfox, My Lisle family connections all appear to have lived in the region of County Durham, mostly around the Lanchester and Chester le Street area. I don't see any Glasgow connections at this point. If I come across one, I'll send you a pm.
Cheers, Alison
