Just tried looking on finda grave to see if any pictures of headstones but sadly can not find any.

I can not see marriages on here Dee what am I doing wrong ?. :-\

George Edward Ashby d August 8 1949 daughter Phyll
was a memorial in 1954
Could this be Edward George or just clutching at straws ?

Putting in too much information perhaps?

I just entered Ashby as the bride's name and a time range of 1893 (when they arrived in Australia) and 1920.

Try that and if you still can't find them, I'll post the info on here.

Bingo found them Thank you. I have found a bit more today as well following everyones helpful tips. It seems Herbert was in NZ and stayed there found possible marriage and 4 possible children just looking for deaths I may have to buy the marriage cert for Herbert to double check but how many Herbert John Ashby is there ?

Violet Amy Ashby is born 1883 not 1863 as I stated in first posting. :-[.

I am trying to work out why this family go to Australia according to the passenger list George and Lydia go in 1893 with 8 of the 9 children and the one that's missing is Herbert John Ashby he would of been 18, his the only one that I am finding records for in Auckland NZ can anyone locate Herbert's travel maybe he went to NZ first job perhaps then family followed the parents were in there 50's Just can not seem to understand what happened ? Any therios anyone.

Like Australia they don't have census records in NZ....but they have electoral rolls, and  some of them are online. I'll check for you.

In Australia, census records have always been destroyed!
