If you are using Ancestry you can easily find him by searching simply for Frederick Barker born 1837 in Newark  ;)

Frederick, Jane & Frederick junior are in Brighton in 1881 (you can find this one for yourself as the 1881 is free for everyone to search  ;D )

He is indexed as Frederick Barker aged 46, born Newark.
