george maurice marshall wilson and elizabeth mary dixon look up please

  marg and rosie i got in touch with the lady researching george morris marshall wilson and she is stuck as well but her grandad never spoke much about the family but one thing came up she said a connection with russia now few yr ago my mam had mentioned this also and i poo pood it off but it seems strange the same theory has come from someone thats a total stranger

this man is getting right on my wick and i know i shouldnt say that ...does anyone think it would be a good idea ordering a birth cert.even though his date of birth on the records i have jump about a bit has anyone any ideas on this i would be grateful..........
i have been hunting for ages now for him but with his name being george MORRIS marshall wilson on his death cert i did find a woman mary morris who had a son called george born about the same time as my george in warwickshire on family search and no fathers name then i also found a george wilson based at barracks in coventry its all a shot in the dark again

Did he sign his marriage certificate or was it marked with a cross

i cant findd anything for st stephens south shields and its not on the parish registers..i think i will have to order the marriage cert do you reckon  even though the other lady researching him or trying to lol said it doesnt give a lot away only what i already know ..apart from the cross

I was wondering if he was literate -
The marriage was in the name of George MAURICE Marshall Wilson, if he was literate then maybe we could assume that he knew how to spell his middle name.

on one of the records i have his occupation is geni shopman whatever that is but being a shopman would he not need to be able to read and write
also just come to mind its on his death cert that the spelling changes from maurice to morris and it was his daughter that registered it not him hes dead

hope someone is about that helped me look into this as i have came across a census 1871 of john w morrice and a mary morrice in leicestershire on this census there is a george wilson (servant) but there is also an ann marshall (servant) i know its another shot in the dark but mary was born northumberland if someone could take a peep and let me know if i have found something here or not to do with george maurice marshall wilson i would be so grateful ig thank yousssss

John Walter Morrice married Mary Selby Donaldson in 1848 there is no indication George Wilson could be linked at this point.  I am afraid that I can't see any other possible links to him with this census.
