What happened to Jeremiah and Hester Dowling?

I'm hoping someone may be able to help me with this problem. One of my ancestors was Jeremiah Dowling. He married Mary Harris in Downton in Wiltshire in the 1780's.  They lived in Fisherton Anger in Wiltshire where they had    three children. Mary died in the 1790's and Jeremiah married Hester Hacker in 1800. The problem i'm having is that after this record i cannot find any trave of either Jeremiah or Hester. I do know that two of his daughters married in London and that there was a Jeremiah Dowling alive in London in 1841 who would be old enought to be him. The only problem is that it says hes Irish and i do know that there was another Jeremiah Dowling who was from Ireland who married a Rebecca in Glastonbury in 1780. Any help finding them would be much appreciated.

How do you know that 'your' Jeremiah wasnt born in Ireland?

That is one of the problems i have, i don't. I can't find any other info on the two Jeremiahs or Hester. The marriage in Fisherton Anger is the last i hear of them. The two daughters marrying in London does broaden the scale of things though.

Hi Rich, can not help you with jrermiah but wondered if you had a Moses or Caleb in your family? I have Dowling ancesters in the Wiltshire Hants area?

Was he definitely a bachelor when he married Mary in 1780? Or could there just be one Jeremiah, marrying 3 times?
