Elvaston baptisms
« on: Sunday 20 January 13 19:01 GMT (UK) »
Hello ,

Does anyone have  access to early baptism records for Elvaston parish ?I´m looking for a John Lackland de Elvaston born c 1585 - or any other info that anyone can find for him would be brilliant .I live in spain so it makes it difficult to get access to early records.

Thanks

Sue

Hello Sue,

I'm afraid you might be out of luck with early records at Elvaston. If I've understood the catalogues, Matlock have Elvaston baptisms from 1651 and Lichfield have the BTs from 1662, which is later than you need. There may be references to John LACKLAND in other records although a quick search in the DRO online catalogue didn't show anything.

Sorry,

John
