I can now confirm that Alfred Henry Clements is in fact ALFRED HARVEY CLEMENTS
Born 25 July 1882 to Alfred & Mary (nee Wallace). (taken from his birth cert)

So much for Ancestry and all this 'Henry' stuff.

Did you get the 1907 marriage cert to Ada Louise Sailes as well?

Yes I did get that marriage cert. That confirmed father as Alfred - helpful, but not as conclusive as mother's maiden name from the birth.
