Not sure what is going on here :D

Seems to be a chunk of this thread missing or participants have chosen to keep it private through use of the PM system so the whole picture is not accessible.

We do not know who  "Mrs dil Henry Baker or such" is. ???

Difficult to be of help.

Hi All ☺️
Can we please revisit this post? I’d love to learn more about my family history. I’ve come to a brick wall with details of Henry Charles Baker’s parents. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the quick reply ☺️

Yes I have them on ancestry but there’s some misinformation around his parents.

I ordered his birth certificate but unfortunately when the record was rewritten from the church records it got mixed up with someone else’s. The birth certificate has someone else’s name on it.

Hi Sara,
To have greater certainty, you will need to get a transcription of the marriage certificate to Agnes WOODWARD.  The informaton will have been given by the participating parties themselves, so hopefully , will be accurate.

This is just one of the 3 Agents for NSW bMD transcriptions..(You may even get a holiday reducton on the rate for the service ;D )
https://www.nswtranscriptions.com.au/

As the man is your direct line, it is important to have correct research, so worth the outlay.

It looks as if Agnes E WOODWARD was part of a family of selectors in the Gunnedah district.
The snip below records her and others of the surname . Matters regarding the purchase of their selections

While we wait for Sara to reply, I will offer  these snips which although they do not help with the question of his parents, may be of interest in a fuller picture of the man.  Always nice to have when he is a direct ancestor.

Information on the Gunnedah family is given in this obituary for Agnes BAKER.
Her middle name, here given as Edith. The children of the marriage are listed.

Helpful to learn that  Henry may have been known as Harry.

This 1909 piece describes the author's  rambles and a visit to Harry BAKER's  place. Agnes was a good cook!
