Hi Paul

I see from this topic a year ago-ish, you have his parents  &  have the 1881/1891 Census.
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=579991.0
Father: John WALKER

He's single in the 1901 Census. Do you have him on the 1911 Census? You mention " 1914 -1918 Royal Marine Light Infantry" - do you know if he was listed as married at any time in this period?

Cheers

Possibility from FreeBMD
Dec 1907 Plymouth 5b 506 has James William Walker and Emma Jane Moyle on the same page - you would need to try to eliminate the other 2 people on the page.

Plymouth would be logical for the Royal Marines.

Hi

Here are a list of the Walker/Moyle children who may or may not belong to James and Emma

All registered Leyburn Yorkshire
Myles 1911
George 1914
Thomas 1915 April Qtr
Violet 1915 Oct Qtr

Looking at the last 2, it looks like there are 2 Walker and Moyles marriages

Hi,

Here are the Marriage Banns for the 1907 marriage,

Holy Trinity, Crownhill, Plymouth
1907
James William WALKER    bachelor of this parish
and
Emma Jane MOYLE  spinster of this parish
on the 1st, 8th and 15th of December

They seem to be living in Barnstaple as domestic servants in 1911.

Regards,
Daisy
