William Cormack , Huntly
« on: Saturday 26 January 13 20:40 GMT (UK) »
Trying to trace William Cormack, born Dec 1886, son of Willliam and Jessie Cormack(Jessiman)
of Huntly.  described as Apprentice Watchmaker (possibly with Watts?).  No trace in 1911 census . No record so far re his possible emigration.
His brother, Robert went to Australia and his brother John Alexander Cormack went to Canada.
Remaining family in the late 1910s/20s were Jean (teacher) and James (mason). His grandfather James Cormack (drumblade and huntly) died in 1921 aged 90.    Last remaining member to trace so any clues or suggestions would be most welcome. Family had connections to Jessimans, Watt and Brebners.   Thanks

Thanks but none of these are my William. I have his birth cert.Because born at v end of 1886, shows image header shows 1887!.  Totally lost since his 14 years recorded in 1901 census.
Only options are immigration and or forces as definitely no death record in UK>
Many thanks. Just so infuriating!!!!

Absolutely brilliant!!  You are wonderful. Where did you find him???  Ties in with his father's death in 1906 too, and as eldest son, may be wanted back home.  THANK YOU
