What is confusing for me is that Annie Thornton b1895 in Salford, Oxfordshire,
married John H Souch in 1921, yet married Charles V E Kitching in 1913.

 I have her death listed in 1975 as Souch.  When she remarried, if I indeed do have the right person, she didn't marry with her married name, but with Thornton.

I do not believe I have two Annie Thornton's, but this is making me question whether or not there are two with the same birth year, same location though I can't flush it out.

and on her 1975 death entry it gives Annie's full middle name

Chipping Norton their surname has been mistranscribed as GOUCH
