any idea of dates ?

parishes changed over time...

Drumcondra is in the civil parish of Clonturk, and in the 1830s this was one of the areas covered by the RC of Artane, but areas nearby would have been covered by city parishes - e.g. St. Paul's (Arran Quay) covered out as far as parts of Glasnevin at one time

Ferguson Road

The nearest RC church nowadays is Corpus Christi on Home Farm Road.

According to the Diocesan Directory
Home Farm Rd, Drumcondra, was hived off from Glasnevin Parish in 1953 (church just east of Botanic Gardens).

Glasnevin was constituted in 1912 from Fairview,

and Fairview was constituted 1879 from Clontarf!
(and Clontarf constituted 1879 from Fairview!!)

John Grenham's book gives a date of 1774 for the Parish of Artane, Coolock, Clontarf and Santry

Thank you for the Parish information.  I'm guessing that their local cemetery would be the large Glasnevin cemetery?  Or are there others in the vicinity.  I'm initially looking at the first half of the 1900's

Iona road seems to have been part of Berkeley Rd before 1902.
And Berkeley Road was originally part of St Michans.

It's very near Ferguson Road, but with the Tolka River in between - I wonder where the boundary was/is? ....
