Alexander Young Brankin (10/12/1909 - 21/10/1983 was my father. A truly wonderful, exceptional, and diligent man. Unfortunately, I was only 12 when he died. It is therefore always of great importance to me, finding pieces of printed information about him.
Yvonne Sarah Jane O'Neill Wallace maiden surname Brankin.
Looking through findmypast etc for details on my beloved father, and found this...recipient of the Imperial Service Medal. After being a POW for 5 years in a STALAG, this undoubtedly came as an honour.
