Thanks Annette,
That certainly is very useful information.
I am constantly amazed at the very helpful folks who are a part of the online genealogy community. I hope that one day I can play it forward and repay the favour.

Regards
Jeanette

Going back to Annettes post yesterday & Charity HARVEY born Horham.  There are no Harvey burials coming up on the SBI in Wilby but there are quite a few in Horham.

The Horham burials start 12 Feb 1795 with a Margaret age 45 wife of Samuel.  Then there are quite a few infant burials children of a John & Martha (late Sheldrick) c1805-1814.  Dates are about right for John to be son of Margaret & Samuel.  Samuel is buried 11 May 1830 age 81.

Horham & Wilby are neighbouring parishes so it could be that the two families are related - could Samuel & Margaret be William's parents also?  No Harvey burials recorded on the SBI in Mellis, so if William was born there the family might not have stayed long.

Claire t also mentioned the bpt of a Judith MUSK in Burgate 1783 - Burgate parish is just across the field from Mellis? & there are MUSK burials in Mellis.

K

ps I see William & Judith married in Horham

K,
Thank you for all you help.
That is very interesting.
I will have to pull out a pen and paper to try to make sense of it all.

regards
J
