Thank you for your reply. In addition to NLI I also use the site you suggested. The records for 1884 do not appear there either.
I have just checked again just in case I missed it previously.

I have just checked again just in case I missed it previously.

From NLI
Although civil registration of births, marriages and deaths began in 1864, records were not accurately kept for a number of years, so a cut-off date of 1880 was applied for the microfilming of registers.

Thank you for your advice which I did follow, and I did find a birth record for Hanora Coughlan, Midleton 1884.
However I am still trying to find a Baptism for her as I am interested in knowing who the sponsors were.

Did you click on the More info Link at bottom of NLI page to see where other Reg are, Years etc?
