David the DURHAM family dont appear on 1842 census of middleton. However if you contact me I have located some baptism records & also a burial place for family rgds frances

I wonder if i may trouble re some look ups for the Durham/Derham/Deerham family from Midleton

From Rootsireland I have the following information

I have  a Marriage record for John Deerham and Mary Ring .20 March 1830  witness as Joan Deerham & William Keiy.

Children baptised from the marriage were as follows.

17 Feb 1834 Catherine. sponsors John Durham & James Halarty
07 July 1839  John. Sponsors Mathew Durham & Mary Durham, Priest J Berlin
12 June 1841 John. Sponsors Cornelius Flaherty & Johanna Lynch. Priest W Keane. Mill Road
19 Aug  1843 Honora .Sponsors Patrick Durham & Mary More. Priest H Leader. Mill Road
16 Feb 1846  Mary.  Sponsors David Ahearn & Mary Walsh. Priest Thomas L Murray. Mill Road
18 Oct 1848  Ellen. Sponsors John Keffe & Elizabeth McPherson. Priest Timy Murray
16 Mar 1851  Patrick, Jeremiah Mahony & Margaret Durham. Priest J Meagher. Cork Road

Interesting to note no children baptised till early 1834 but also recorded were

10 July 1830  Bridget  Durham.  Sponsors William Meade & Bridget Scott
05 Apr 1833  James Durham. Sponsors Richard Clarke & Elizabeth Burke
Parents listed as  John Durham & Bridget Clarke

John /Mary & family went to live in Newport Wales late 1851 or early 1852 where my grandfather William Patrick Durham was born. John & Mary had  both passed away  in Newport by 1859. None of the children were listed in the 1861 Wales census.Dont know what became of the children may have returned to Midleton.
 
In the 1871 Wales Census  some have reappeared in Newport. William Patrick, James,Catherine & Patrick. Also Ellen possibly in 1882/3   

The Tithe Applopment Books list a John Derham at Ballyspillane in 1833.

Family Search list a John Durham born 1785 and died in 1864 in Midleton.( Could be the father of the John Deerham married on March 20 1830) Not sure if this would be listed at the Holy Rosary Church. Would you be able to check this out.

Is the Holy Rosary Church on Mill Road ? as per some ot the baptisms ?

Also any other information regarding the Durhams would be most welcome.

Had a look @ registers in Midleton RC

Recorded there are Marriages  1819-1899
Baptisms 1819 to present.

Marriage you mention for John Durham & Mary Ring record there 1830
All the Baptisms you mention are also there. The Baptisms for John & Mary (Ring) would have been prior to 1819.

Marriage record for John Durham & Bridget Clarke 27th Feb 1827. On the record his christian name recorded as JS.
Have you seen the 1871&1881 Wales Census for John Durham b Middleton c 1842?

There are Baptisms in midleton varying dates mostly 1820.s & 1830's but as we dont have parents for John Durham married to Mary Ring its not possible to tie them together.
Holy Rosary Church is @ Chapel Road now St Marys Road - Mill Road would have been the family address

I have found Michael Roche the miller was married to a Mary Barry, the address was the Youghal road, Midleton. So far I have only found baptism record for one of their children a Patrick Roche born 08 November 1849.
Would you please be able to check if their are any records of other children baptised in Midleton parish for this couple? and also if there is a marriage record in Midleton for the couple?
