There are far too many William Jones marriage with a "Jane" on the same page to determine which is the right one
You will need to buy a copy of one of their children's birth certs to get Jane's maiden name

There is an 1881 for Widnes which includes an Elias T aged 3 and a William H aged 4 - but parents are William b Denbighshire 1851 and Elizabeth b 1852 Beaumaris

They were in Salford at 7 Trafalgar Sq the same address as the baptism of Elias Thomas in 1886, this 'confirmed' the correct family.
There seems to be an abundance of William Joneses from North Wales in Salford and Manchester, Lancashire. The name Elias seems to have been a popular one in this time period.

Many thanks to all, the marriage of William Jones and Jane Minshull in 1875 is the one. I found the baptism of Jane Minshull 1846 Caerwys parents Robert and Louisa, William's f. is named Elias and Jane's f. as Robert on the marriage details.
The John Robert Jones on the census, down as a son of William and Jane is possibly Jane's son f. may or may not be William. More searching to do.

There is more detail of the marriage at Lancashire OnLine Parish Clerk (www.lan-opc.org.uk).There looks like a mis-transcription as Minshall.Jane is given as a spinster.

 Robert and Rachael ( b Chester)  are still in Caerwys in 1891, by now he is a sub postmaster , in the Post Office , Water St. He died in June qtr 1898 aged 79.

This is father Robert in 1861 still in Caerwys,he appears to have remarried a Rachel-RG09/4266/11/15.

In 1871 in Caerwys-RG10/5636/20/12.

In 1881 in Caerwys-RG11/5500/1/14.

In 1891 in Caerwys-RG12/4603/15/09.

He died in 1898,he first married a Louisa Hughes at Caerwys St Michael in 1837.Louisa died in 1855,Robert married a Rachel Jones at Chester St Oswald in 1856.
