Isaac Bath
« on: Sunday 10 February 13 11:57 GMT (UK) »
Can someone please help locate the Bath family on the 1851 from the 1861 details below:

Residing in Tirphil on the 1861 census for Brithdir Hamlet, district 4, were Isaac Bath, 54, coal miner, and his wife Ann, 51, both born Somerset.  Sons, Abraham (25); Isaac (23); William (20) Henry (15) coal miners, and daughters Ann (18); Elizabeth (12) and Susanah (10) all born Bedwellty.

Residing two properties away with his family was a Jacob Bath aged 27, collier, born Somerset, possibly related.

I would appreciate any help
Thanks, Roy

Thanks to Nanny Jan for the details; thanks to Suz also and I do appreciate the extra information.  I wonder if I could ask for the 1871; I'd like to confirm the birth place of Isaac snr, Somerset or Breconshire?

Hi,

Had a look but can't spot him; have you checked for a death?

I'd like to confirm the birth place of Isaac snr, Somerset or Breconshire?

1841 Isaac and family are living in Monmouthshire and Isaac answers "Yes" to "born in County"
So his p.o.b. changes in each census  1841 Monmouth 1851 Sirhowey Brecon 1861 Somerset 1870 he died in Glamorganshire
There is an Isaac Bath b.c. 1804 Farrington Somerset - he marries "Mary" and seems to stay in Somerset - so be careful when looking for baptism of your Isaac.

Think this is "your" Isaac's death reg FreeBMD

Hi Suz
I have just read your post of the 10th; so apologise for the late 'thank you'
I was having a hair pulling moment and out of curiousity I used the search feature to call up my Isaac Bath request to find your message with the 1871 details which is much appreciated.  When I failed to find the family on the 1881, I located the same death registered for Isaac Bath on FreeBMD but thanks for the details anyway.

Best wishes, Roy
