I have the death certificate 17 May 1949 for Janet EUDEY aged 85 at the Melbourne Benevolent Asylum Cheltenham.
Her father is listed as James Campbell CARLYLE and mother Maggie Jane CARSON.
Place Married: Victoria
Age Married: about 25 years
Husband: Thomas EUDEY
Condition at time of Death: Widow
Issue: William, deceased.

I have also viewed the Will, made 23 Oct 1895, of her father James Campbell CARLYLE.
On his will she is referred to as  Janet EUDEY of Buckley Street Footscray married woman (wife of Thomas EUDEY of the same place Bootmaker) formerly wife of Antony ZAPPA of Nicholson st Fitzroy stone worker deceased.

I'm trying to find births, marriages, deaths, or anything else for her, her 2 husbands, and child/children.

St Arnaud Mercury  4 July 1917

A very old resldent of St Arnaud in the person of Mrs Margaret Carlyle, died on Saturday last at the advanced age of 81 years. Deceased was the wife of the late Mr James Carlyle, who for many years followed mining persuits in this didtricys. Two daughters are left, Mrs. Eudey, of Melbourne, and Mrs Davis of St Arnaud. The deceaseds remains were privately interred in the St Arnaud Cemetery on Monday. The Rev F Boyling (Church of England) read the burial service.

Thanks Wivenhoe  and Sparrett very interesting infomation.
I just rechecked the Will/Probate for James C CARLYLE he died 10 Feb 1896 and the probated was granted the 26 May 1898. His will was written in 1895 and at that time he referred to his daughter as Janet ZAPPA and then when Janet applied for probate in 1898 she says that she is the wife of Thomas EUDEY. Daughter Violet ZAPPA was born 1888 St Arnaud. So between 1888 and 1898 Antonio ZAPPA had died and Janet had married Thomas EUDEY.
Im beginning to think that she never married Thomas EUDEY but was in a relationship with him before 1898.   Interesting that the Thomas EUDEY who married Isabella YOUNG in 1915 per the electoral rolls is a bootmaker.
Can anyone find any trace of her daughter Violet Dehlia ZAPPA?
And is there a William EUDEY born to Thomas and Janet?

So between 1888 and 1898 Antonio ZAPPA had died and Janet had married Thomas EUDEY. LEONIE
