George Swarbrick 1828 - 1884 New Orleans
« on: Monday 11 February 13 18:44 GMT (UK) »
I'm trying to find out more about the origins of the above man. He was a Catholic, went to New Orleans at some point after c. 1850 from England. He was a grocer by trade. He married Bridget Gibbons. I have plenty of references for him in the States - census etc. but I need to know his father's name so I can tie him to the right one of three possible Swarbrick families back here in the UK.

Thanks in advance

He appears on this obituary index:  http://neworleanspubliclibrary.org/obits/obits.htm  I don't know if it might give any further information about his family of origin.
