Anderson family in Durham County, U.K.

Someone from my local genealogy society referenced this site.  I don't really understand how it all works.  But my maternal grandmother's sister, Selina Williams, born 1880, married a George Anderson, born 1880.  They had 2 children: Nellie Anderson (1904-1996) and James Anderson (1907-1981).

I am also looking for a Hannah Anderson (either a sister or a cousin to George Anderson), married to James Atkins.  They have four children: Wallace Anderson, Nora Atkins, Hannah Atkins and Eva Atkins. I also want to find the parents of George and Hannah Anderson.

George Anderson and Selina Williams married in the September Quarter of 1902 in the Durham Registration area which included Durham City and surrounding areas.

Hannah Anderson and James Atkins married in the June Quarter of 1908 in the Auckland area of County Durham which includes areas more south of Durham City.

The quickest way to prove any relationship between George and Hannah would be to order both of their marriage certificates from the General Register Office, London.

Here are a George and Hannah Anderson together with parents in 1891 but as has been said you need marriage certs to be absolutely sure.

I am a few years out of date on the GRO but as a penance I looked up Southport on the internet. A pleasant seaside resort. I have only been to Blackpool in that general area but Southport would be well worth a visit.
